    Lake Nockamixon
    Boat Launches

Lake Nockamixon is located in Upper Bucks County, PA just south of Quakertown near the intersection of routes 563 and 313. The four boat launches can be reached from one of these two roads.

The lake is limited to 9.9 horsepower or electric motors. Many sailboats and windsurfers use the lake also, especially on the frequent windy days.

All boats need to be registered in Pennsylvania or carry a State Park Permit. All fishermen must show proper licensing.

The launch parking lots fill up quickly in the summer and are regularly patrolled by State Park Rangers.

All four launches are near rest rooms. The ones at Three Mile Run and the Marina are the nicest. The ones at Haycock and Tohickon are more primitive.

Rules and Regulations are posted at the boat launches and park entrances.

    • Three Mile Run Launch

    • Located off of RT. 313 on Three Mile Run Rd.

Good launch in the spring for bass spawning in the shallow grass west of the launch and in Haycock Creek east of the launch. Small parking lot that frequently fills up to capacity, especially on weekends. 2 wide launch.

    • Marina Launch

    • Located off of RT. 563 at main park entrance.

Main lake launch. Plenty of parking. 2-3 wide launch with long floating dock. 24 hour launch with night lighting. Good for fishing the middle part of the lake. Many sailboats launch from here.

    • Tohickon Launch

    • Located off of RT. 563

Plenty of parking. 2 wide ramp. Good for fishing the eastern part of the lake. Most fishing tournaments launch and hold weigh-ins from here. Probably the best pure-fishing launch, although many wind surfers use this area in the summer.

    • Haycock Launch

    • Located off of RT. 563

Not much parking. 1-2 wide launch. Good launch for fishing the Haycock Creek and dam. Probably the least-used launch on the lake.
